The generic term for the series in which in the manga is divided into two sections while in the anime it is divided into three. It is also a term for items in which key main characters are on an ongoing quest in search of called dragon balls in which there are seven of. There are two types of dragon balls orange and black. Orange appear in the initial Dragonball saga while black appear in the Dragonball GT saga. Dragon Ball is also the first in the series in both mediums and it's main character is Goku who's quest along with Bulma is to locate the 7 dragon balls.
